Silver Spur  Riding Club

McLean's Mill for Saturday, Sept.18th.  Muster at 11:00am - ride out at 11:30am.  Bring lunch or snack for the trail.  I will make the ride 3 1/2 to 4 hours long so the haul over the hump will be worth it.  We will be on some gravel areas so boots or metal shoes are advisable.

It would be helpful to know how many trailers will be coming so I can inform Neil.  Apparently the mill is booked for a cruise ship excursion that day, however, the participants will be arriving by train so there should be lots of room in the parking area for trucks and horse trailers.  There is a watering spot at the start of the ride (in the parking lot area) and we will be crossing at least one stream along the way which is shallow. The trails are all cleared, marked and ready to go for our ride this Saturday. We will be having our lunch/snack at about 1:30pm at a lookout spot so bring a camera for a great photo op. I will be there ready to go if it is raining lightly, however, I am assuming that if there is a deluge then the ride will be cancelled. I have received confirmation from two people so far (Barb and Elaine). Is anyone else coming? The ride is about 3 1/2 - 4 hours depending on how long we stop for our food break.
