SILVER SPUR ALTERNATE BURSARY GUIDELINES and REQUIREMENTS
CRITERIA: Applicant must provide full description of the Clinic/ Course of intended participation: Name of Clinician/Course, (website, if available)any particular style / methodtype of education, i.e., horse training, horse health, rider training, etc. number of hours or length of Clinic / Course Outline total cost Applicant must provide Cover Letter and Completed Application form Provide proof [i.e., certificate, note] of completion, signed by instructor Be willing to give a sample demonstration/ presentation of what you learned , to Silver Spur Club members at a meeting or riding event GUIDELINES: -
- Applicant must be a current member , of good standing, of Silver Spur Riding Club. -
- How long have you been a member? -
- must be at least 16 years old -
- Previous education is not a factor. -
- Clinic / Course must be Equine related. -
- Application may be made 6 months before or after completion of Clinic / Course -
- ONE $250. Bursary per calendar year will be rewarded. -
- The standing appointees of the Bursary Committee have final decision of the recipient. Bursary application: bursary.pdf
Every year the Silver Spur Riding Club offers 3 Bursaries to students attending the local high schools and alternate school. Applications should be obtained through the Schools.
